Ways to record meetings using Coffee

Learn the different ways you can record meetings using Coffee: web app, desktop app, or external recorders via Zapier.

Updated this week

You can record meetings in Coffee in a few different ways, depending on how you prefer to work. Below are the available options and when to use each one.

Quick summary

You can record meetings using:

  • The Coffee web app recorder (automatic by default)

  • The Coffee desktop app

  • Third-party recorders connected via Zapier

1. Web app recorder (automatic)

Use the recorder built directly into Coffee’s web app.

  • Coffee automatically joins and records your meetings by default.

  • This is the easiest option if you don’t want to install anything.

  • Ideal if you want a fully hands-off setup and want to record audio and video

Turn it off if needed:
If you don’t want Coffee to auto-join meetings, you can disable this behavior.

2. Desktop app recorder

Use Coffee’s desktop application to record meetings directly from your computer.

  • Download and install the Coffee desktop app.

  • Click the popup to start recording when prompted right before a meeting

  • Useful if you don't want others to see a recorder in meetings, and you are fine just recording audio.

3. Record meetings through Zapier (external tools)

Use third-party meeting recorders and send recordings to Coffee via Zapier.

  • Works with tools like Fathom, Gong, Granola, Grain, Fireflies and any other meeting recorder that's compatible with Zapier.

  • Great if you already use another recorder and want to keep your workflow.

  • Zapier sends transcripts to Coffee automatically at the end of every meeting.
