Removing the recording bot from meetings

Learn how to remove the Coffee bot from Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams meetings, or manage recording settings for future calls.

There are several ways to remove the Coffee bot from a meeting or prevent it from joining a meeting in the first place.

Remove the bot from a meeting in progress

To remove a bot from a meeting in progress, you can either turn off the "Recording" toggle next to the meeting in your Today page.

Or you can use the built-in features of Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams to remove the bot from there.

ℹ️ To remove a participant from a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams meeting you need to be the meeting host.

Remove the bot from a Zoom meeting

  1. Click "Participants".

  2. Find the bot.

  3. Click "More" next to the bot's name and then "Remove".

Remove the bot from a Google Meet meeting

  1. At the bottom right of your Meet, click "Show everyone".

  2. Next to the bot name click "More actions".

  3. Select Remove from the call.

Remove the bot from a Microsoft Teams meeting

  1. In the meeting window, click the "Participants" icon to see all of the attendees.

  2. Right-click the name of the Coffee bot.

  3. In the drop-down menu, choose "Remove".

Remove the bot from a specific upcoming meeting

  1. Go to your Today page.

  2. Find the upcoming meeting where Record is currently checked.

  3. Click Record to uncheck it and disable the bot for that specific session.

Remove the bot from all meetings

To remove the bot from all future meetings follow these steps:

  1. Click Settings (gear icon) in the bottom left corner.

  2. Select Call Recorder.

  3. Locate the section titled Which meetings should be recorded?.

  4. Change the selection to Record no meetings.
