Integrating Coffee with Granola

Connect Granola to automatically import your meeting transcripts and AI summaries into Coffee for processing.

Requirements

  • A Granola Business or Enterprise plan

⚠️ Due to a current limitation in the Granola API, speaker identification is not supported.
In imported transcripts, all participants other than you will appear as "Speaker."

ℹ️ The Granola integration and the Coffee bot are mutually exclusive

When the Granola integration is active, the Coffee bot will not join your meetings.

If you want to use Coffee's audio/video recording going forward, you can still use the Granola integration temporarily: enable it, import as much Granola history as you'd like, then switch back to the Coffee recorder when you're done.

How it works

Once connected, Coffee pulls in your Granola meeting notes and transcripts — going back up to 12 months by default. Coffee then processes that content to generate its own meeting summaries, follow-up emails, and tasks.

If you also record a meeting with Coffee's recorder, Coffee will display both summaries side by side and retain the full audio/video recording. (Granola does not store recordings.)

Setting up the integration

  1. In Coffee, click Settings in the left sidebar.

  2. Under Personal, select Call Recorder.

  3. Under Recorder Source, open the Choose your recorder dropdown and select Granola.

  4. Coffee will connect to your Granola account and begin importing your meeting notes and transcripts from the time selected.

Adjusting the import window

  1. Once connected, click Configure next to the Granola connection.

  2. Adjust the import date range to your preferred time period.

  3. Click Connect.

What happens after import

Once transcripts are imported, Coffee processes them automatically. For each meeting you'll get:

If a meeting was also recorded with Coffee's recorder, you'll see both the Granola summary and the Coffee-generated summary, plus the full audio/video recording.
