Creating company or people lists

Create lists for you and your team.

You can create static lists (manually selected) or dynamic lists (filter-based) to organize the way you view companies.

Static Lists

A static list is a list of companies or people you manually choose.

To create a static list:

  1. Go to Companies / People

  2. Select the companies or people you’d like to add

  3. Click Actions (top right)

  4. Select Add to list

✅ Your new list will now appear from a pulldown menu under the Companies or People page.

ℹ️ If a workspace has 2 or more team members and each user owns their own company or person records, Coffee will automatically create lists called "My companies" and "My people"


Dynamic Lists

A dynamic list is automatically updated based on filters.

For example, if you create a list with a filter for companies in NY with more than 100 employees, any new company in New York you add that has over 100 employees will appear in that list automatically.

To create a dynamic list:

  1. Go to Companies or People

  2. Click Filters (top right)

  3. Type the filter(s) you want to apply and hit enter

  4. Check if the results match your filters

  5. At the top click Save as dynamic list

  6. Type the name and Save list

✅ Your new dynamic list will now appear from a pulldown menu under the Companies or People page. It will update automatically whenever a newly added company matches the filter


👉 Tip: Use static lists for fixed groups you want to track manually (e.g., named accounts) and dynamic lists for ongoing filters (e.g., companies by location, industry, or size).
