Setting default recording and note-taking preferences

Learn how to manage your call recorder settings and note-taking preferences in Coffee.

Updated this week

You can customize how Coffee handles your meetings by adjusting your default recording and note-taking settings. This ensures the assistant only joins the calls you want and generates notes in your preferred style.

Accessing call recorder settings

  1. Log in to your Coffee account.

  2. Click on Settings located at the bottom left of the sidebar menu.

  3. Select the Call Recorder tab from the settings menu.

Modifying your preferences

Once in the Call Recorder section, you can modify several default behaviors:

1. Meeting recording preferences

Choose which meetings the Coffee assistant should automatically join. You can toggle options to join external meetings or no meetings at all.

2. Selecting your recording source

Choose the primary method Coffee uses to capture your audio and video. You can change this at any time based on your workflow.

  1. Locate the recording source section.

  2. Select one of the following options:

    • Coffee web recorder: Records directly through your browser.

    • Coffee desktop recorder: Uses the installed Coffee application on your computer.

To learn more about the differences between these methods, read our guide on ways to record meetings in Coffee.
